Another month in 2022 has come and gone! March went by super fast and I feel like I actually did a lot. Today, I wanted to share some of my highlights from March.
1) Going to Florida
I kickstarted the month by returning from Dallas on March 1. Then I headed to Florida the first weekend of March. I wanted to go to Florida for the beach and warm weather. I went with one of my high school friends. We were only in Florida for a couple days, but we still did a lot and got our vitamin D fix!
Wynwood Walls
The last time I went to Florida and Wynwood Walls was 2 years ago for Spring Break 2020! You now have to pay to enter the official Wynwood Walls area.
But there are still plenty of fun murals and street art that you can take pictures in front of, which is what my friend and I did.
This place is beautiful! I made a reservation around 6 pm so we could watch the sunset. Tip: you can only order from the happy hour menu at the bar. So we had to move from our table to the bar, which was fine. I got the Miami Spritz cocktail and enjoyed it a lot.
South Beach
You can’t go wrong with going to South Beach. I love the white sand and pretty lifeguard towers.
Versailles
Everytime I come to Miami, I make a trip to Versailles. They have such yummy Cuban food. In particular, I love Cuban coffee. I swear no matter what time of day, they are always busy.
2) March Madness Games
So to preface, I have never really been into sports. I'll go to the games because I have school spirit. But since moving to Indy, Michigan (my alma mater) has actually come to Indy for a number of sporting events and I have been fortunate enough to go.
When Michigan basketball made the March Madness tournament AND they were coming to Indy, I knew I had to get tickets to the games. I went to the game on Thursday March 17th and then to the game Saturday March 19th. We won both games!
I also got to meet Jalen Rose, who is part of the Fab Five with Juwan Howard and is basically Michigan royalty!
3) Spending time at home
The last highlight of March was being able to go home for a week. I enjoyed my time at home - going to my favorite restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and getting a haircut.
Everytime I come back to Ann Arbor, I make it a point to get Joe's Pizza, Blank Slate, Hola Seoul, and go to Bill's Beer Garden. Sadly, I was not able to Bill's because it was too cold.
I can't wait for April because I have some exciting plans coming up! Stay tuned for my April 2022 highlights blog post!
